Microsoft partners with Baidu to expand Windows 10 in China

Satya NadellaMicrosoft unveils a new partnership deal with Baidu, the Chinese internet giant, so that it can get more people to use Windows 10 in china. The Microsoft has informed about the new deal through a blog post.

This is what Redmond based IT giant has to say about this deal, “Today, we’re excited to announce another partnership with a leader in China – Baidu. With over 600 million active users, Baidu is one of the most frequently used Internet gateways in China.”

Microsoft has said that this business partnership with Baidu will allow Chinese users to upgrade to Windows 10 Operating system, which is going to offer a customized searching as well as browsing experience for Chinese customers. The Chinese users will get local browsing and search experience, as Baidu,com is going to become the default search engine and home page of Edge browser of Windows 10. Baidu has more than 600 million active users.

In response to this, Baidu is going to bring a universal standalone Windows app for video, cloud, search and maps for Windows 10. According to Microsoft, currently more than 10 million devices in China are already running Windows 10 operating system.
