Microsoft offering Surface Pro 3 for students at $650

Surface Pro 3 is the latest Surface series Windows 8.1 Tablet cum PC manufactured and marketed by Microsoft. If you are student or any educator, then Microsoft is offering Surface Pro 3 for students with special discount on this tablet. Using the Microsoft’s education discount you can reduce the surface pro 3 entry level pricing from $799 to $ 649 i.e., you can save $150 for the Intel core i3 model.



This special discount applies to all the Surface Pro 3 models, so if you choose a high configuration model then you can knock of $150 from the actual build price. The discount varies from $150 to $194 if you go for the high expensive models. This discount will be ongoing through September 3rd in the Microsoft store.

Surface Pro 3 has the 12 inch screen with which it falls into the PC category and the screen size is increased compared to its predecessor. It is available in three models comes with i3, i5 and i7 processors along with either 4 GB or 8 GB and 256 GB or 512 GB. It sports 5 MP camera on both front and back side and comes with Windows 8.1 pre-installed.



The design is of the device is very attractive and can be used as both the Tablet and Laptop. The low end core i3 processor device costs $800 which is competitive with the perfectly respectable full fledged laptops. The other eval model with core i5 processor and 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage costs around $1300. The higher end device with core i7 processor costs more than $2000 after the sales tax and if you want any advanced specifications then the prices will still rise further.
