Microsoft Teases New Lumia Smartphone Launch for November 11

Microsoft announced that it will remove the Nokia branding from upcoming Lumia devices and replace it with Microsoft branding. This is not surprising has the software giant acquired the Finnish smartphone maker and we knew that this move will take place at any time.

Now, Microsoft has come up with a teaser on social media. On its official Facebook page, the software giant has posted the hashtag #MoreLumia and the motto “Big on experiences” teasing a new smartphone.

Though it is hard to figure out what Microsoft is trying to say with this teaser, the tagline “Big on experiences” suggest that we can expect a smartphone with a richer camera experience than the existing Lumia devices. Furthermore, the firm has also highlighted a date for the launch of the smartphone that is November 11, 2014.


Going by the previous rumors, the upcoming smartphone would be replacing the Lumia 1020 with high end imaging aspects. Microsoft came up with a teaser of the smartphone carrying the Microsoft branding on its back instead of Nokia branding. Lately, a device leaked with the codename RM-1090 from the software giant via the TENAA Chinese certification website that also features a Microsoft branding.

There is a high possibility for the tech world to witness the launch of the smartphone on the aforementioned date. The RM-1090 will sport a 5 inch qHD display with 960×540 pixel resolution and arrive with a rear camera with LED flash, dual SIM support and a 1,905 mAh battery and also come in a range of vibrant color options.
