Lately, Nokia launched the Lumia 530 budget Windows Phone 8.1 based smartphone. Now, it appears like it is time for the European consumers to grab this handset. It has to be noted that the handset’s dual SIM variant has already been let out for sale in India and Malaysia. Well, the handset is all set to hit the retail shelves in Europe starting from September 4 and it will be available via Three, Phones 4u, Vodafone, O2, EE, Carphone Warehouse and others for a price of £60.
The Lumia 530 has been launched and priced by Microsoft itself, however there are chances for the final price tag to differ based on the retailer and operator. The handset has been launched in a slew of color options including dark grey, bright green, black and bright orange.
Going by the specifications, the Lumia 520 arrives with a 4 inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 854×480 pixels and employs a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor paired with Adreno 302 graphics unit. Also, there is 4 GB of internal storage space along with a micro SD card slot supporting expansion cards up to 128 GB. The handset features a 5 MP primary snapper at its back to address the basic imaging requirements of the users.
Other aspects of the Windows Phone 8.1 based smartphone include connectivity aspects such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Also, there is a 1,430 mAh battery onboard that can deliver a backup of up to 10 hours of talk time and 528 hours of standby time on 3G.
