Microsoft Ends Skype Calls to Phones in India from November 10

Microsoft ends Skype calls in Inda


The tech giant Microsoft has announced that they are withdrawing the Skype calls service to Indian land lines and mobiles from within India, which is effective from November 10 of this year 2014. The Indian Skype users will not able to call on Indian land lines or Mobile Phones, but they still able to send messages on these numbers.

If in the case, if any user is travelling outside and wants to call on Indian land lines or on mobile phones, then the users will be able to call on Indian landlines and mobiles from their Skype account. The Microsoft is also said that,it will not be effected other features of Skype to the India user’s. It simply means that there are no further changes and other services will continue as normal.  The users  will be able to make free Skype-to-Skype calls within India and outside, international Skype calls from India to landlines and mobiles in other countries and more.



 According to one of the Spokesperson of the Microsoft-

Users in India can still make free Skype-to-Skype calls worldwide, international calls to mobiles and landlines and users outside the country can call mobiles and landlines in India. Skype WiFi and SMS messages are also available to users in India.”[/quote]
