Medinfi, Indian healthcare platform raises Angel Funding

Indian Healthcare app, Medinfi has raised an undisclosed amount in fourth sound of angel funding from Rajnish Sinha (Genpact) and others. Ram Kumar Kakani (XLRI), who has invested in the startup before, also participated in the latest round.



Medinfi was founded in 2014 by Ravi Shankar Mishra. It helps users to find doctors and hospitals nearby for checkups and any emergency need. However, it has not started with the tie up process with doctors, so at the moment, the app is not taking any appointments. It plans to keep helping users by providing trusted and genuinely gathered information through its platform.



Currently, the app has around 5000 downloads and the doctors database is worth 7000 entries. It is operational in various Indian cities including Bangalore, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.



Speaking on the round, Ravi Shankar Mishra, CEO – Medinfi said that the latest fund will be used to expand the operations in 13 Indian cities. Along with that, the startup is also planning to launch an iOS app. The focus is to continue empowering the users with updates information around the healthcare industry in India.

Before this, Medinfi had raised $150K (INR 1 Cr) in December from 4 new investors.
