Lyft Now Provides The Option To Split The Fare With Your Friends For 25 Cent

Lyft is the only company that can prove to be a credible competitor for Uber, and now it has come up with a minor but very useful feature which allows you to split the cab fare with your friends. All for measly 25 cent fee.

Uber doesn’t have this feature as yet. Lyft does. Advantage Lyft, surely?

While I totally agree with the fact that splitting that manually splitting the fare with your friend is never a hassle, there was no easy way to spit up the cab fare from within the app itself. It’s possible now. All you need to do is download the Lyft app.

During your ride, once you go to the ride options, you will notice some text which says split payment. After that, you can choose upto 5 friends for splitting the cab fair. One they accept your request, your amount will automatically be divided equally. That works out to around 25% that each friend is paying for. Uber has also claimed that it charges the same amount to set up the cab share, however this feature has not been incorporated in the app as yet.
