Limo, Indian Bus Aggregator Startup raises $1 Million


Limo, Mumbai based bus aggregator startup has raised $1 Million from RainMaker Ventures. Limo was founded in 2015 by Siddharth Sharma, Vivek Choksi and Anshul Khandelwal and it was primarily named as rBus. The main focus of the startup is to deliver urban mobility across the metro cities.

The startup aggregates and runs chartered buses on busy routes in the cities for individuals and corporate. The bookings are done on an advance payment basis and it further provides services such as WiFi, app enabled payments, live tracking of buses and flexible timing.

Speaking on the development, Siddharth Sharma, CoFounder added that the main aim behind building Limo was to provide a comfortable and convenient service at a fraction of cost. He further added that Limo has served over 300,000 rides and over half of the customers have become the permanent users of the service. He is hopeful of getting more and more users on the radar and adds that if done right, Buses can be a great solution to the increasing problem of office commute. According to him, smart bus system can be a huge help to solve the problem of traffic and pollution in metro cities and it does not need any advancement in technology or infrastructure.

Prior to the latest round, Limo had raised an undisclosed amount in seed round from India Quotient, Anupam Mittal and others.
