LG Windows Phone 8.1 Smartphone Spotted by AdDuplex

The South Korean giant LG will be launching its first Windows Phone 8.1 Smartphone. The Couple of months earlier the Microsoft has announced that the LG will be one of the hardware partners, who can make Smartphones which runs on the Windows Phone Operating system.

The news comes from a Twitter post by Alan Mendelevich, Founder of AdDuplex. According to this post, a Windows Phone 8.1-based LG codenamed LG D635 will appears to have been spotted on the AdDuplex network. This LG Windows Phone has a 5-inch screen with an HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution display. And according to the”AdDuplex Stats teaser: LG D635, WP 8.1, 720p, 5″ spotted,” states Mendelevich’s post.  But Nothing more has been mentioned about the smartphone.


The LG Windows Phone (LG D635) device may be a test unit. The LG has not disclosed any plans for making a Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone until now, and the above information has not specified any other information.

The Operating system giant Microsoft has announced LG as one of its Windows Phone 8.1 OEMs back in February during MWC. The Redmond-based software giant had also confirmed India’s Karbonn and Xolo as future Windows Phone hardware partners, along with Foxconn, HTC, Huawei, JSR, Lenovo, Longcheer, Nokia, Samsung, and ZTE. In the year 2010 the LG was launched LG Optimus  which runs on the Windows Phone 7 eco-system. The Smartphone of LG which running Windows Phone 8.1 OS, was leaked online in the previous month -May by serial tipster @evleaks
