Smartwatches are at fury in the ongoing IFA, 2014 at Berlin with the Sony, Asus and Samsung getting in the mix and finally LG has showcased its first rounded smartwatch, LG G Watch R. Design and build quality

Moto 360 has attracted the enthusiasts immediately, but LG G Watch could not make much impact with its design and look.

Things look bit different with LG’s G Watch as compared to Moto 360. It actually looks very nice, and features a adjourned bezel with 15, 30 and 45 minutes markers. The smartwatch LG showcased at the event has the nice chronograph inspired look, only for the reason it featured two subdials showing the time in London and New York and looks more traditional. The design is very casual and the rugged design which could match on casuals, but doesn’t look formal.

Coming to the Moto 360, its is very stylish with the elegant design and it looks more classy than casual. It may be devoid of any features, but not boring by letting its character dwell in sum of its parts and not just the watch itself. It looks very formal with its analog watchface and suits for formals. If you put it on the Horween leather and the metal bracelet, it looks casual too.



Most of the specifications of these two smartwatches are similar. But these devices are powered by different processors, LG G Watch R is powered by Snapdragon 400 processor which can be seen commonly in mid-range smartphones, Moto 360 runs on Texas Instruments processor which is not so powerful. Moto 360 has the 1.5 inch circular display, whereas LG G Watch R has 1.3 inch display, but features OLED display.
