Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that it will be partnering with LG to make Windows Phone hardware. Though the partnership existed even before that, the South Korean firm was not able to release the Windows Phone handset. Now, it appears like LG will be launching such devices sometime soon.
According to Alan Mendelevich, founder of AdDuplex, a new LG made Windows Phone handset called D635 is has shown up in the network database. It is claimed that this device will be running on Windows Phone 8.1 operating system and come fitted with a 5 inch display boasting HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels.
He has taken on Twitter with the tweet reading, “AdDuplex Stats Teaser: LG D635, WP 8.1, 720p, 5’’ spotted.”
For now, only these details regarding the alleged LG D635 smartphone are known and we need to wait until more information about the mid-ranger leaks out.
It has to be noted that a few months back, LG Uni8 that ran Windows Phone 8.1 showed up on media reports, but that appears to be a hoax. It is still not certain if the Uni8 and D635 are the same handsets, but more details that surface online will confirm the same.
