KyaZoonga raises funding from Ratan Tata


KyaZoonga, Indian based online ticketing portal for sports and other events has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Ratan Tata, Chairman – Tata Group. The raised funding will be used to expand the reach to the international markets such as United States, West Asia, Caribbean Islands and Pakistan.

KyaZoonga was founded in 2007 by Akash Bhatia, Arpita Majumdar and Neetu Bhatia. It provides online ticketing for sports and entertainment related events. In the last year, the startup claims to have sold over 25 million tickets.

Speaking about the venture, Neetu Bhatia stated that the main ISP of the startup is that they do not focus on specifically movies but cover other entertainment related events along with the sports events happening across the country. She further added that with the help of their own IP and technology, they have rapidly scaled domestically.

The startup has sold tickets for events like Indian Premiere League, Pro Kabaddi league, ICC Cricket World Cup and FIFA qualifiers etc.
