Knowlarity Acquires Customer Engagement Platform, Smartwards

Knowlarity Communications, Singapore based cloud telephony company has acquired Delhi based Customer Engagement platform, Smartwards for an undisclosed amount. After the acquisition, Co-Founders of the acquired startup, Shantanu Mathur and Dhanraj Singh Bisht will join Knowlarity and head its India operations. Also, as part of this acquisition, Knowlarity will now integrate Smartwards solution to its product to provide enterprise solutions to SMBs in and outside India.

Smartwards was founded in 2013 and it helps SMBs to identify, engage and reward the loyal customers. It is present at over 150 locations across 8 cities in India.

Talking on the development, Ambrish Gupta, CEO – Knowlarity said that it will be a great thing to have the team and expertise of Smartwards with Knowlarity. Shantanu and Dhanraj have been early movers and hopefully, their decision making power will come in handy in their journey with the new company.

Started by Ambarish in 2009, Knowlarity provides communications tools based on cloud technologies to the clients. The offerings include IVR, Fax and conferencing facilities. It plans to acquire more startups in order to create a diversified portfolio of services provided.

Till date, Knowlarity has raised $22.5 Million from investors such as Sequoia and Mayfield. It has also been featured in top 30 B2B software product companies in a list compiled by iSPIRT.
