KhanaGadi raises funding from 50K Ventures

KhanaGadi, Jaipur based food delivery startup, providing packaged plate means to railway stations and bus stands across 150 locations, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Hyderabad based 50K Ventures, A fund investing in the early age startups. The raised funding will be used to expand the covered area to more locations across the country. The major portion of the money will go in expanding the team at various locations. The startup is planning to deliver at least 1000 meals to 300 different locations by next year.

Speaking on the investment, Sanjay Enishetty, co-founder of 50K Network said that KhanaGadi has a target audience which was never noticed by a startup before. The travelers undergo a huge deal in order to have proper hygienic food while traveling and our investment is in right terms to meet that demand to provide the access to quality food, anytime and anywhere, with just a tap on your smartphone app.

The delivery system at KhanaGadi has been synchronized with the train running status. Which means if a train is running late by a few hours, the delivery will take place at the right time, in order to cater to the vision of providing fresh hygienic food to the customers.

Few of the competitors of KhanaGadi in the present times include, TravelKhana (New Delhi), RailRestro (Patna), YatraChef and TravelerFood.
