The company then curate the user’s location details with the user images and make it easy and fun to view, search and find your favourite places. This information will be private and safely saved in the cloud.
KeepTrax, a new ‘internet of me’ company will access GPS and other mobile device sensors to convert user’s physical location visits into highly curated “event pins” that digitally capture and organize details such as location name, address, dates, times, durations, photos, calendar and other context.
KeepTrax has released their apps in Android and iOS platform. The company focuses on business to business distributions and plans to develop on KeepTrax platform. As per company sources, they are witnessing strong organic traction in the market, garnering large and engaged following among users.
The company offers KeepTrax platform for developing by advanced API’s and iOS. Android and Web SDK’s are available for developers to integrate the KeepTrax features and functions into their own Apps and Sites. Apart from the platform offers advanced reporting and analytics tools and capabilities for a range of use.
Another solutions is Curate Your Travel, is a travel optimised version of KeepTrax that allows travel companies and agencies to deliver location based journaling solutions to their customers. Features of KeepTrax such as automatic pins, dates, locations, duration of stay at a location, pictures etc., and these features will be helpful for advanced sharing and has travelogue capabilities.
KeepTrax offers solutions for sales force where a record of all client and sales prospect visits that includes dates, times, durations, photos, distances and other details of the field staff can be monitored. The app provides client interaction and access advanced analytics to improve client management. The data captured can be easily shared with higher ups in the company and the platform can be easily integrated with CRM solutions of the company.
The Hyderabad and Texas based company was founded by Kedar Benegal. He has spent 15 years in senior strategy, marketing and operations roles in the travel and retail industries. He has his graduation in Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Western University. Kedar has done Masters in Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University.
He started his career in Stroud Engineering Services as Controls and Robotics Engineer in 1996. Worked in the company for 4 years and moved to Deloitte Consulting as Senior Consultant in 2001. In 2002 he moved to Strategic Initiatives as Senior Analyst. In 2004 he moved to RadioShack Corporation scaled to become Senior Manager, Corporate Development and Strategy.
In 2006, he joined Sabre Holdings as Principal of Corporate Strategy. Within 2 years he became director of the company. He held this post for 15 months and joined as Director of Global Planning and Operations for Travelocity. Once again he joined back Sabre Holdings in 2011 as Director for Performance Management and moved to Mobile Business Development. He worked in Sabre for 2.6 years and founded KeepTrax in 2013.
Ismail Thanickel is Chief Technology Officer of KeepTrax. He has graduation in Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology, Calicut in 1995. He started his career as Graduate Engineer Trainee in L&T Infotech and became Software Engineer in Motorola India Electronics Ltd in 1996. He worked in Motorola for 2 years, then he changed JP Mobile as Senior Software Engineer in 1998 where he led a team in designing and developing Domino and Exchange back end connectors for SureWare Enterprise Server.
In 2005 he joined Good Technology as Senior Software Engineer handling designing and developing mobile messaging support for Domino Email servers. He worked in the company for 1.7 years and moved back to Motorola in Dallas as Principal Software Staff Engineer. He handled customer critical issues and addition of several new features for Network Operation Center. He joined back Good Technology as Software Architect in 2009, led a team of engineers to design and develop server components of Good Mobile Messaging platform. He left the company in January 2015 to join KeepTrax.
KeepTrax received $1 million seed funding from Naya Ventures. The venture capitalist Naya Ventures has 12 investments namely Minetta Brook, Appnique, Altia Systems, Zoomingo, Lavu Inc, Boxfish, Glympse and KeepTrax. Naya Ventures has been founded by Dayakar Pushkoor for which he is the Managing Director. Other management team includes Prabhakar Reddy – Managing Partner, Gowri Shankar – Venture Partner, Bhavin Patel – Investment Analyst and Linda Dres – Controller in the venture firm.
Dayakar Puskoor has joined the board of KeepTrax. After funding Kedar Benegal, founder and Chief Executive Officer of KeepTrax said “Whether navigating busy routines near home, or discovering new places far away, people have a practical and emotional connection with the places they visit,” and further he added “With KeepTrax we have developed a powerful way to help people privately and automatically capture the details of their places without the need for manual check-ins.”
