New Delhi based, Indian eCommerce Platform enabler for small and medium enterprises, KartRocket has raised $6 Million in a funding round which saw the participation of Bertelsmann India Investments as the lead investor along with Niravana Digital Fund, 500 Startups and Singapore based Beenext.
KartRocket is an SAAS product working on the concept of enabling the eCommerce for client. Owned by Big Foot retail Solutions Pvt Ltd, KartRocket offers end to end solution to build and launch an ecommerce platform to Indian SMEs and retailers.
With the raised amount, KartRocket aims to build a better product along with expanding the team. The other aimed activities include development of seller platform and marketing.
KartRocket has recently launched Kraftly, a mobile preferred marketplace targeting small sellers, individuals and homepreneurs in India in categories such as apparel, craft, home accessories and electric products. Currently, Kraftly has over 7500 shops and it boasts of adding 10000 listing per day.
Speaking on the development, Saahil Goel, CEO & co-founder of KartRocket said, “The current eco-system is not supportive of integrating smaller sellers into eCommerce; in-fact they aim towards replacing them rather than including them. Kraftly has a single vision of allowing every seller to participate in eCommerce. There are over 50M homepreneurs and small sellers in India that currently do not have a medium of launching their sales online. By bringing such sellers online we’re building the largest supply base of unique products for buyers to choose from.”
Before this, KartRocket had raised $2 million in series A funding, which saw participation from Nirvana Venture Advisors, 500 Startups and Japan based Beenos.
