iPhone 6 Plus triggers launch of Chinese phone 6 Plus phones

Consumers in China are spoilt for choices, after the launch of iPhone 6 Plus. The market has opened floodgates for 6 Plus categories. Recently HTC One M8, followed by Huawei Honor 6 Plus.

Recently Huawei, a brand associated to high class data cards and other mobile equipments have launched Huawei Honor 6 Plus. The manufacturer has an eye to capitalize the drawbacks of iPhone 6 Plus. The phone has 8 MP cameras and a large 3600mAh battery.

The camera lets you to take pictures where you can control the focus after the shot has been taken which is almost similar to HTC M8. Although it shares the same design as Honor, this one is slightly larger and two cameras on the back. The camera seems to be capable to taking pictures at low light.


The 7.5mm thick Honor Plus shares the black glass design from Honor 6 and has a metallic looking stripes running along the stripes. There is a pattern which can be seen when the light hits on the back of the phone which cannot be made out in black or white color model. These can be visible in Gold Color model of the phone.

Honor 6 Plus is loaded with the good stuff with Kirin 925 octa core processor which allows for more powerful performance with low power consumption, while ensuring fast download speeds and wide signal distance. The processor aims to enrich people’s lives and enhance the experience of communication. Kirin 925 processor supports Cat .6 LTE network connectivity which 300Mbps.


The 5.5 inch display has full HD resolution – 1,920X1,080p, around 401 pixels per inch, similar to iPhone 6 Plus. Android 4.4 pre loaded in Honor 6 Plus with Huawei’s Emotion 3.0 user interface (UI), with power saving features considering it is not needed for the battery size.

Lock screen has been tweaked allowing quicker access to media controls, a calculator and a flashlight.
The other specs include 3GB RAM, a 3,600mAh battery and 32GB of onboard storage which can be enhanced to 128 GB of microSD storage.


Huawei has released two variants of this phone, one offers 4G connectivity, and other one offer 3G. The 4G phone has dual sim which connects 4G as well as 3G. The phone has in-built software SIM card, which will be helpful during roaming data connection.

There is lot of potential for this phone for the prices it is offered in China which is around RMB 2,499 for 4G model and RMB 1,999 for 3G variant. It is not confirmed whether these features will be available for the phones that will be sold in US/UK or Australia.
