Intel owned Basis announces iOS compatible Peak Smart watch

Basis company owned by Intel has announced a new Smart watch called PeakĀ which is compatible with iOS devices like iPhones, iPads. This new device Peak mainly focus on health and fitness features. This product is capable of keeping track of several health-related data points, such as steps, calories, heart rate, perspiration, the temperature of your skin, and in-depth information about your sleep habit.

This new wearable is available for sales in United States from November, Bluetooth LE is the medium to support for pairing with other devices like Smartphones and tablets. But the drawback of this Peak smart watch is it does not yet support basic smart features like email, text notifications. As per the company Basis says that this features will be updated through a software in future. Developers will also able to take the advantage of planned APIs to develop apps.


The battery life of this device is awesome that wearers don’t want to charge it daily basis where this device peak able to store battery for four days and also there is a water resistance of up to 5 ATM for Good measure. If you are interested to buy this smart device then be prepared to part with $200. As I mentioned above this will be available in US for November.
