Instagram removes the square format restriction

By | August 28, 2015

Instagram has announced that it is removing the restriction of uploading square images and now you can upload landscape and portrait oriented mode photos and videos.

Till date, Instagram allowed users to upload photos and videos in square format only. This made uploading images annoying as Instagram won’t accept images until it fits the square template.

From now on, you will be able to share your photos and videos in your original portrait mode whether its landscape mode or square mode. This new feature is an added advantage to everyone as it gives more options to upload our photos and videos.

This removal of restriction will also help Instagram grow as effective social media platform. Star Wars has released a new exclusive footage on Instagram, which will show widescreen video format properly.

This new update of Instagram is currently available on iOS App store as well as Google Play Store, which will automatically be downloaded to the users.
