IMJ, Japan based venture capital firm has launched a $52 Million fund as IMJ Investment Partners Japan Fund to invest in Japanese startups in the time to come.
IMJ has been quite active in South East Asia and this will be the first time that VC firm is looking to invest in its home country. IMJ has already raised 2 Million Yen ($52 Million) for the Japan specific fund and it’ll keep on looking to complete an eyed 6 Billion yen fund.
IMJ has had some notable investments in south east asia and now the VC firm is targeting the Japanese startups for Series A funding deals. In an official release, the firm stated that the main focus will be on healthcare, IoT, finance and artificial intelligence.
