Sony has officially announced two new wearables, Sony Smartband Talk and SmartWatch 3 at the ongoing IFA 2014. Sony has also announced the new flagship smartphone, Xperia Z3 alongside its mini-variant Xperia Z3 Compact and also budget smartphone, Xperia E3 at the sidelines of IFA 2014.
Both the Sony SmartWatch 3 and and SmartBand Talk work with accompanying app lifelog for the wearables. Sony lauds that “SmartBand talk is the powerful lifelogger device, bringing call handling and the voice control from your wrist with its always-on curved 1.4 inch e-paper display”.
It’s curved and 1.4 inch e-paper display is the highlight of SmartBand Talk and the Sony claims that it is the low-power consuming despite being highly visible and clear. It’s screen offers users lifelog activity, time and the notifications at the glance. The Japanese company has also confirmed the collaborations with other companies like Roxy to bring the limited edition Smart wearable styles into the market.

SmartBand Talk features the built-in speaker and microphone for the short call function and it also allows the users to forward the calls from the paired phone, which its built-in speaker and microphone allows the users talk into it and hear the caller, along with HD support. Voice control feature in it will support the UK and US English, French, Japanese, Spanish, German and Italian. It is the waterproof device and comes with the IP68 certification and available in White and black colors for now.
SmartWatch 3 is the upgraded smartwatch from Sony and the company has claimed that, it has been particularly designed for the latest Android Wear update. It sports 1.6 inch display with 320×320 pixels and covered by stainless steel and features built-in accelerometer, gyroscope, compass and GPS sensor. It is waterproof device with IP68 certification and it is available in Black and Lime editions, with the extra colour straps available in White and Pink. It includes 4 GB internal storage and can connect with the bluetooth headset.
