Hulu VR app to be launched in November

Samsung’s most anticipated product of this year is Gear VR headset, which is developed by the company in association with Oculus. This Gear VR headset is one of the most affordable Virtual Reality headsets, which comes at the price of just $99. So, finally this VR headset from South Korean electronics giant is going to be launched in November.

Lots of apps have been announced that will work with Gear VR headsets. Now, Hulu has announced that its VR app will be ready to use when Samsung launches its VR headset. According to a report of CNET, Tim Connolly, the Head of distribution at Hulu said that the Hulu VR app is “ready to go” for Gear VR launch.

Hulu joins the league of video streaming service providers like Netflix and YouTube that supports Virtual Reality content. VR tech has gained its popularity since its inception and most of the big tech companies are working towards it. Hulu VR apps will offer traditional 2D content as well as some original series that are purely based on Virtual Reality.

Hulu is also producing a VR short film named “The Big One”, which is created by Freddie Wong. In addition to this, the company is also planning on creating pure VR series that can be watched through VR headsets like Samsung Gear VR. Samsung Gear VR is compatible with Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Plus and Note 5.
