HTC is all set to enter the tablet game this year and it is likely that the Taiwan based vendor will come up with three new slates including the highly anticipated Nexus 9 in collaboration with Google.
As per the serial leaker @evleaks, HTC will be making an attempt to grab a significant chunk of the tablet market share with the launch of a new tablet lineup. While the One M8 maker is expected widely to come up with the Nexus 9 aka Volantis (HTC T1) this fall, the report suggests that the vendor will also announce two other tablets allegedly dubbed HTC T7 and HTC T12 later this year.
The tweet reads, “Besides the T1 Volantis/Flounder/Nexus 9, HTC is developing two other tablets: the T7 and T12.” Besides the monikers, the specifications or details regarding these tablets remain a mystery. However, from their codenames, it is speculated that the T7 and T12 will arrive with 7 inch and 12 inch displays.
Though the exact launch dates of these tablets are not known, they are believed to come out within the end of this year. Also, the most recent rumors claim that HTC will be venturing into the smartwatch space with its first Android Wear based device. From these reports, it is evident that the Taiwanese tech firm is preparing to come with a bang this year.
