HTC today has launched its next flagship, Butterfly 2 Android smartphone in Asia. Earlier we have cover many news and rumors related to this and accordingly HTC showcased this to Asian folks with decent hardware and specs, the device will start shipping from next month.

Not only is the Butterfly 2 (Foe Japanese users it is only J Butterfly) plastic, but it is waterproof as well. The hardware packed inside is a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 13 MP rear camera with 5MP front facing camera, healthy speakers than the HTC One M8 has and the product itself running Android 4.4 out of the box. The main shooter on the Butterfly 2 is also a duo setup with a secondary lens to help focusing on a particular object and generally improve overall performance.

According to the sources, the device is all set to sale in Japan first as the HTC J Butterfly on KDDI, and the next targeted market is Taiwan on September 2nd and other different markets thereafter. Price is still a matter of secret that the company hasn’t said anything about it, I guess only after coming to Asia we will get to know about it.
