Unfortunately, neither HTC or KDDI have revealed any details regarding this, whether the HTC J Butterfly will be available outside Japan.
Also specs are also not known completely as of now, The J Butterfly runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, much like HTC’s 2014 series, the One (M8). There is no word on J Butterfly’s single or dual-SIM availability.
Let’s we talk about the revealed specs of recently launched HTC J Butterfly, The device offers a full-HD 5-inch display and the most highlighted feature of this phone is, it’s a waterproof device. The J Butterfly, almost packs same hardware compared to the One (M8), runs on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor (unspecified clock speed) and 2GB RAM. It is worth inspecting that HTC’s One (M8) is also powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. The J Butterfly also houses a 32 GB of inbuilt storage, with expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB).
It sports a 13 MP as a primary camera with dual-LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing camera. Notably, the J Butterfly also houses the dual rear camera setup, first seen on the 2014 series device. However, KDDI calls the rear setup as “Duo Effect” camera in the event statement. The J Butterfly will be available in Canvas, Indigo and Rouge color variants.
