How to fix iPod with white screen

If you are using iPod you may face some problems like the touch become unresponsive and displaying a blank white screen. Here I am listing three methods to fix the iPod with white screen. I can’t say it is the complete solution and it may be helpful. If there is some hardware problem then you need to take it to the nearest Apple store.



Follow any of the three methods for how to fix iPod with white screen problem.



Restart the iPod

  • First press and hold the Sleep button for few seconds until the “Slide to Power Off” option comes on your screen.
  • Now swipe the screen to right and wait for few seconds for the iPod to turn off.
  • After switch off again press and hold the sleep button to switch on the iPod.
  • Now after restarting the device they problem may be resolved. If still the white screen comes then follow the below method.

Reset the iPod

  • Press and hold the Home button and Sleep/Wake button at the same time for few seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
  • After Apple logo appears leave the buttons and wait for some time for the lock screen to appear normal.

Restore the iPod

  • Download the iTunes on to your PC and install it. After installing connect your iPod to PC using USB cable.
  • After few seconds iTunes will detect your device and it may identify the problem and helps you resolve the problem.
  • If it doesn’t then select the iPod touch in the devices section of the left menu in the iTunes and click on the Summary tab.
  • Now click on the Restore button and a dialog box opens. There Click on Restore and update and wait for sometime for iTunes to restore the factory settings on to your iPod.
  • Now slide to setup slider on the iPod will be visible and follow the instructions on the screen and select the default language and enter the Apple ID.
  • If you have never backed your iPod then select “Select as new iPod touch” and select the “restore from iCloud backup”.
  • Now go to the iTunes store and select for any apps, movies and more you have purchased in past and you can download them again.

Follow these methods the problem may be resolved.
