Having Dual or multiple  monitors for one Central processing unit I mean single OS provides more screen space and also increases the productivity. By this you can easily work multitasking at a time by moving items one monitor to another or by stretching numerous from one to another monitor.  This article teach you how to connect multiple monitors in Windows . You need to follow the steps given below.



Arrange Multiple Monitors

In the multiple monitors one will acts as a primary monitor, In addition to this more programs will display on the primary monitor when you initially open them. Multiple monitors can be connected to individual video adapters or to a single video adapter that supports multiple outputs. To configure the arrangement of multiple monitors



  • Click start followed by control panel.
  • Click appearance and Themes and click display.
  • On the settings tab, click identify to display large number of monitors. This shows which monitors corresponds to each icon.
  • Click the monitor icons and drag them to positions that represent how you want to move items from one monitor to another monitor and then click OK to Apply the configured settings.

How to Change Primary Monitor



  • Go to settings > properties > click the monitor icon that represents the monitor you want to use in addition to your primary monitor.
  • Click to select use this device as a primary monitor check box, This check box wont available in the monitor which is primary.

How to view same Desktop in multiple Monitors

  • Go to settings > properties > click the monitor icon that represents the monitor you want to use in addition to your primary monitor.
  • Click to select ‘extend my windows desktop on my monitor’ check box, Once you done with this feature then you can drag items across screen onto the monitor.
