HomeLane funded by Venture Capitalists Sequoia Capital, Aarin Capital and others. Bangalore based Homevista Decor and Furnishing Pvt Ltd owns and operates for furniture HomeLane.com.

The company caters end to end, vertically integrated interior design and manufacturing provider. HomeLane have catered to more than 1,000 projects across the country. The company offers personalised design services to all their customers at no cost. An experienced panel of interior decorators work with the customers to customize the design for the house.

HomeLane partners with top builders to ensure buyers receive amazing experience enabling from a bare shell building to fully fitted ready to move in flat with one decision and touch point.


Homevista has launched a home planning feature called HomeLane Planner. This feature enables home owners to accurately visualize their kitchen or bedroom. A home owner can decide where to place appliances or place modular units in the kitchen. Even the bedroom can be designed by the home owners themselves. After finalizing home owners can upload the designs in the website.

HomeLane’s interior decorators will analyze, review the plan and suggest any changes required to homeowners. They will provide free design that includes 3D snapshots of the designs.
The Bangalore based company was earlier called as Bello Interiors Pvt Ltd and was converted into HomeLane.com. It was promoted in 2014 by K Ganesh and Meena Iyer along with Srikanth Iyer and Rama Harinath.

Ganesh Krishnan is serial promoter and entrepreneur. He has founded several startups such as Portea Medical, BigBasket.com, BlueStone.com, TutorVista etc.; He graduated in Bachelor of Technology, Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. He is ex alumni of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He was heading Bharti British Telecom till March 2000.


Ganesh K founded CustomerAsset later acquired by ICICI OneSource was responsible for company formation, fund raising and operations of the company. In Jan 2004, he became advisor and Board Member of Marketics, a company which is into market analytics. Marketics was acquired by WNS Holdings recently. In Jan 2006, Ganesh found TutorVista Global Pvt Ltd. He was Chief Executive Officer till acquisition by Pearson in Feb 2013.

Along with Ganesh K his spouse Meena Ganesh joined HomeLane. Meena has graduated in Bachelor of Science from Women’s Christian College, Chennai. She is ex alumni of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. She started her career as Regional Manager, NIIT till 1992. In 1995 she joined Microsoft as Director, Internet and Application Development Unit worked till 2000. She with Ganesh founded CustomerAsset and was Chief Operating Officer till ICICI OneSource acquisition. In 2003, she joined Tesco PLC as Chief Executive Officer and worked till 2008. In September 2008, Meena Ganesh founded another startup Edurite Technologies was Chief Executive Officer till February 2013.

In March 2013, she became serial entrepreneur with GrowthStory and became Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Portea Medical.


They roped Srikanth Iyer, who has rich entrepreneur experience to manage HomeLane.com. Srikanth Iyer has graduated in Bachelor of Engineering from RV College of Engineering, Bangalore University. He further did post graduation diploma in software engineering from ICA.

Srikanth started his career in Wipro as Product Support Executive, later in December 1993, he moved to Total Solutions as Chief Executive Officer till January 2000. He became Chief Executive Officer/Chief Operations Officer of TutorVista Global Pvt Ltd and Edurite Technologies till January 2013. TutorVista was acquired by Pearson India in Feb 2013. He was Chief Executive Officer in Pearson India. He is also founder director of Diksha Technologies and Venture Partner in Unitus Seed Fund.

Srikanth, Rama Harinath with Ganesh and Meena co founded HomeLane.com. Rama Harinath is ex alumni of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He did his Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering and later did his post graduation diploma in management from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

He was system analyst in Cognizant Technology Solutions India P Ltd, later on he moved as Project Manager in Hewlett Packard Global Deliver India Center till 2007. He became business consultant in Dell in 2007 and moved into TutorVista as Vice President till 2014.

Prabhu Venkatesh is Chief Operating Officer of HomeLane. He has done his Masters in Industrial and System Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He was Production and Manufacturing Manager in Polyurethane Products Corporation till February 2003. He founded and headed Macroworx Media Pvt Ltd. He was the architect of enterprise digital signage software platform. He managed entire day to day operations of the company.

Subsequently in October 2007, Macroworx Media Pvt Ltd was acquired by 3M. He handled several lead roles in 3M from business manager, business development and General Manager till he co founded HomeLane.

Another notable person in HomeLane is Srini Battula. He is the Chief Technology Officer of the company. Srini has graduated in Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from JNTU College of Engineering. He did his Masters of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Iowa State University in 1995.

He started his career as software engineer in ABB in Santa Clara, CA in 1995. He became Senior Software Engineer and technical lead with Entrust Inc in 1998. He headed to Symphony Services as Engineering Manager till 2004. In August 2004, he became Director of Engineering for Ketera Technologies Pvt Ltd. He was instrumental in delivering Ketera’s Suite of Spend Management solutions.

In August 2008, he founded playgroundonline.com and became Chief Technology Officer. The sports online portal markets sports goods, apparel, footwear, fan merchandise and other sports related stuff. Playgroundonline.com has been listed one of the top 20 e-commerce sites in India and generating revenue upto $2 million each year.


HomeLane.com raised $4.5 million as Series ‘A’ funding from Sequoia Capital and Aarin Capital headed by Mohandas V Pai and Ranjan Pai, ex Infoscians. As we all know Mohandas V Pai is the chairman of Manipal Global Education Services.

HomeLane.com directly competes with FabFurnish.com and UrbanLadder.com. Both startups have seen funding recently. However the strong unique selling point of HomeLane apart from customization is 3 year manufacturer warranty. They have launched their services in Bengaluru and planning to expand in 7 more cities in next few months. The company has 100 employees on their roles and planning to double the number shortly.
