Gympik acquires Oyofit, targets corporate healthcare


Gympik, One of the leading online platforms in India for fitness discovery, has acquired Oyofit, another fitness discovery platform working specially for the enterprise clients as well as individuals.

Oyofit was founded in October last year by Shivank Agarwal and Ruchik Garg. It is an online platform which has customized gym membership offers for individuals and corporate. Some of the names in its client list include Jet Airways, Furlenco, RazorPay, HomeLane and Dreamorbit.

Gympik was founded by Amaresh Ojha in 2012. It helps the individuals search for the best fitness related outlets, trainers and other services in their area. The technology driven solution behind the startup has helped it grow rapidly and it has tied up with over 9000 fitness centers and has over 6000 personal trainers on the platform. Also, the startup boasts of having a presence in over 20 cities.

Speaking on the development, Amaresh Ojha, Founder CEO of Gympik, stated that the deal is one of the most important factors behind Gympik’s initiative of catering to the corporate client. There are a lot of positive impacts including better ROI and better employee productivity. Oyofit has built a great product and business model which is highly scalable using the personal trainer database of Gympik and together, both the teams can disrupt the market in a very short span of time.

The team at Oyofit will join Gympik with Shivank taking a role in senior management, after the acquisition.
