Guavus – Aiming higher in Big Data analytics area. The company provides a big data analytics platform combined with a decision making application suite. The application helps the business and services providers to take timely decisions that are driven by data. This is in turn assist business to be more agile, creating right experiences with innovative offerings.

Guavus has developed a platform Guavus Reflex Platform is capable of creating actionable information which are wide, distributed and high volume data in real time. The platform uses optimized computational algorithms and machine learning to filter actionable insights from huge datasets. The processes are continuously optimizes the computational process and enables forward looking and predictive analysis helps the business in taking real time decision making and automation easier.

Reflex Platform analyse first capabilities allows enterprises to process large amounts of data, size that can go upto few petabytes per day. The data sourced from traditional subscriber, deep packet inspections probes, network flow data or network data warehouses. Even unstructured data generated by network will be handled under Reflex Platform. Following this approach the platform eliminates storage volume and time constraints to gather and analyse the data.


The company has released new type of business analytic application having inbuilt data science enhancing an enterprises competitive edge. The new application will directly correlate the data across multiple sources to give complete data to work. The resulting data gives professionals to work on a bigger, complete and continuous analysis after the capture of data.

Guavus was founded by Anukool Lakhina in 2006 is heading the company as Chief Executive Officer. The company based in San Mateo, California. Anukool is technically qualified and have graduated from International School of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has done Phd in Computer Science from Boston University.

Timothy Monahan is the Chief Financial Officer of the company. He is ex alumni of Harvard Business School and The University of Texas. He is one of the investor in Guavus.


Ty Nam is Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Guavus. He is taking care of sales and operations of the company have rich experience in technology. Prior to Guavus, he had worked with VeriSign Communications Services Group and inCode Wireless handling client services and service delivery for strategic consulting services to mobile operators in North America, Asia Pacific, Emerging markets and East Asia. He had held senior positions in Deloitte Consulting and Northpoint Communications. He is a Master of Business Administration from University of Michigan. He has graduated in Finance from University of Illinois.

Guavus has received funding from 8 investors for 6 times summing for $ 119 million. The company received their Series ‘B’ funding during Oct 2011 for $ 25 million by Intel Capital, Sofinnova Ventures and Artiman Ventures. They received another round funding from the same investors as Series ‘C’ funding during Jul 2012 for $15 million.

Guavus received another tranche of Series ‘D’ funding during Jan 2013 for $30 million from earlier investors along with Investor Growth Capital and Questmark Partners. The company placed private equity with Goldman Sachs and Translink Capital for $9 million. They were Debt Financed for $20 million by Translink Capital.


The company got venture capital from group of investors along with SingTel Innov8 and Sofinnova Ventures who had earlier invested in the Guavus for $ 20 million.

World class IT Companies like CISCO, Intel, Juniper Networks, Procera Networks and QOSMOS have partnered with Guavus. The company tied up with Juniper Networks to create new Network Analytics suite called BizReflex and NetReflex. BizReflex is targeted towards large scale service providers which assist the enterprise to segment customers and price their products on the feedback given. NetReflex is positioned for network architects to analyse traffic patterns drilled down to link and interface level. Architects can take better decisions based on the patterns reroute the traffic accordingly.

Guavus has deployed their big data solutions at some of the world’s largest communication services includes 2 out of 3 large US mobile operators, partnered with 4 out of 5 largest global communication infrastructure equipment vendors.


Guavus has acquired Canadian based data company Neuralitic Systems in Jan 2013. The acquired company works on mobile data and interprets them. In Jun 2013, Guavus acquired Pipeline which analyses Internet Protocol Detail Record.

The company has received various awards; one of the product CareReflex application received top honours in Data Communications category along with Best in show for Cost Innovation in 2014. They won Cable Satellite International 2014 CSI Awards for Best Data and Analytics innovation, along with they were awarded with Global Telecom Business Innovation Awards 2014 for Best Innovation Award and few others like Deloitte Technology Fast 500 in 2013.
