GroupMe updated for Windows Phone with share location feature

GroupMe is the free app offers the simple way to stay connected with friends, family, colleagues, Faith groups, Events and Vacations. It is the popular chat application from Microsoft’s Skype.

Today GroupMe updated for Windows Phone which introduces the ability to share the locations and meme images. It was last update in June and that was version 4.8 which introduced the new feature inline support for content shared on Vimeo, Youtube, Vine, Twitter and Instagram. Now the latest update is with version and below is the changelog for the latest update.

The ability to share the location feature in the new feature is welcomed improvement, especially for those who use GroupMe when travelling. Another new feature “meme images” is also the good feature. In the app page Microsoft has added a comment line that, “Whether separated by the hallway or a hemisphere, GroupMe allows you to stay in touch with the connection that counts. Get your group together”
