In a recent update, Google has make it possible for you to download the web search history for the years. However, you can download the history only when you have searched being logged into your Google account.
This move comes surprisingly and users see no practical benefit by the option of downloading the web history. However, in some cases, it might even be helpful provided you are trying to figure out some kind of keyword which you searched years ago.
According to a blog post on the official Google Blog, the option was first announced last year and now, the history is available to download for all the Google users.
How to download Google Web History
- Make sure you are logged into your Google account.
- Head straight to Google Web history by clicking here.
- In the right side, you will see the gear button, click on the same and tap on download.
Google will take some time to compile the whole history into a file. The file will be stored into your Google Drive account and you will get an email once the data is available for download.
