This is a big day for Google, as the company has announced two Nexus smartphones, a new Android tablet and two new Chromecast devices at the event. In addition to these, Google has also announced that now Apple Watch will support Google Maps.
Google Maps was not a part of Apple Watch OS 2, but now it has made its way to the smartwatch and user can download the app through iTunes store. This app is not as good as mobile app, but it is a good option if you don’t like Apple Maps.
This Google Map is simpler than the app available on smartphones. This watch app will allow you to find the routes to a saved locations such as Home or Office by just a single taps. Whenever you get the directions on your iPhone, it will be automatically synced to the smartwatch app as soon as you launch the app.
The smartwatch map app also supports all the means of transportation like walking, transit, driving and biking similar to your phone. This app also stores the recent route history. Google Maps on the Apple watch comes with very simple User Interface. It shows a arrow that display the distance traveled before any other directions.
