Google on Monday proclaimed an upgrade for its Google Glass smart device that will bring SMS notices support to iPhone, and presenting a better than ever Calendar Glassware. Both the features included will be taking off to Glass users ‘later this week.’

At Google Glass Google+ page, the search giant announced it will be increasing the frequency of updates now that it has updated Glass firmware to Android KitKat 4.4.

The primary new feature brings SMS notices to iPhone owners of Google Glass. After setting up all the stuffs the iPhone’s Bluetooth settings to turn on ‘Show Notifications‘ for the combined eyewear, users will accept heads-up notifications of SMS on Google Glass. While users will have the capacity to read those SMSs, they won’t have the capacity to reply to them specifically on Glass. Google says the explanation behind this is because of ‘a drawbacks to iOS.

Notably, Android owners can already receive SMS notifications on their Google Glass, as well as they can reply or send to SMS messages – a fact that Google is quick to point out, “Android fans, do not feel left out – you have got SMS features on Glass already.”

Google has also showed the new Glassware for the newly added Calender feature. Also this new Glassware offers ‘the agenda’ on the left-side of the Glass’s home screen. If we talk about other changes like ability to edit Calender straight from the timeline, apart from being able to delete or remove them.
