Gionee has been involved in the making of thinnest smartphones such as Elife S5.5 and Elife S5.1 so long. However, it looks like the vendor has moved on to the bandwagon of manufacturing smartphones with capacious batteries in them. This is evident as the vendor that announced the Marathon M3 smartphone with a 5,000 mAh battery on Wednesday appears to be prepping yet another similar device.
Well, a new smartphone alleged dubbed Gionee V183 has been spotted on TENAA, the Chinese certification website. From the listing it appears like it is a lower mid-range smartphone with a heavy 4,000 cell under its hood.
The listing suggests that the V183 would come fitted with a 4.5 inch TFT display that boasts of a FWVGA screen resolution of 854×480 pixels that results in a pixel density of 218 pixels per inch. Furthermore, it is claimed to be incorporated with a 1.3 GHz quad core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. The operating system of the Gionee V183 remains unknown, but we can expect the device to be fueled with Android KitKat.
Storage wise, the Gionee offering is likely to feature 8 GB of native storage capacity that can be expanded externally by another 32 GB using a micro SD card. It is slated to flaunt a low end 5 MP main camera at its back that gets teamed up with a VGA front facer. The 4,000 mAh battery operating in the Gionee V183 is impressive as it is claimed to provide a backup of 3 days without any charging.
The other details about the Gionee phone remain unknown and we can expect the firm to announce it along with its pricing and availability information in the coming weeks.
