Chinese smartphone vendor Gionee made all stones towards it with the launch of the Elife S5.5 measuring 5.5 mm in thickness. Now, it appears like the firm is planning to break its own record with an even thinner smartphone. Well, Gionee will be introducing a new smartphone called Elife S5.1 that will measure only 5.15 mm in thickness.
This fascinating smartphone is likely to flaunt a 4.8 inch AMOLED display with HD 720p resolution and employ a quad-core processor and an 8 MP primary shooter at its back. Further details regarding the alleged smartphone have been leaked online along with tons of images revealing its design cues.
From the leaked images and specifications, it is clear that the Gionee Elife S5.1 will not be the company’s flagship smartphone, but it will grab the title of the world’s thinnest phone. Likewise the Elife S5.5, this one will make use of metal and glass on its exterior.
