Hulu is the online media streaming service which offers the ad-supported on-demand streaming of the TV shows, webisodes, movies, trailers, clips and other media. Hulu is currently available only in USA and its overseas territories and Japan. Today Hulu has announced that it is going give the free gift to Android users, i.e, free streaming content on their redesigned mobile app.
From today Hulu users not require any subscription to watch the Hulu content on the Android device. But Hulu has disappointed the iOS users, iOS device owners will be getting the free treatment as Android users very soon. However, the free content you will be able to watch in the Hulu app are ad-supported in the app, but previously you could only watch the free Hulu media content with out subscription on the Hulu website, but now the facility is available on the Android devices also.
If you want to watch the Hulu content with ad-free then you can download Hulu Plus, which is a paid app. Hulu also stated that, not all the content is included in the new offering, but the content which is available on the updated app will mirror the ad-supported Hulu.com with few exceptions.
Hulu has clearly mentioned in the press release that “sample content” though, so don’t think that sample content means that you will be able to access the full paid Hulu library with the ads on your Android device. Rather, this is a move to get you absorbed on your portable device so that you will be more willing to invest in a subscription.
