Facebook news app Notify may launch next week

Facebook is going to release a new stand alone news app called Notify, according to the reports of The Financial Times, the app may roll out next week. Facebook’s Notify apps is gearing up for its release and the social media giant has even partnered with some agencies, who will bring news directly to its app.



There are some news organisations, who have partnered with Facebook to bring news and these are The Washington Post, Mashable, Vogue and CNN. This news app from Facebook will let you select some news sources you like and then show you notification for breaking news as it shows notification to its Facebook users.



This news app from social giant is designed in such a way that it will load news stories quickly and the company is looking to become one go-to portal for all breaking news. It is still unclear that how this new stand alone news app will affect news portal that posts stories on Facebook. Much detail about the partnership requirements has not been revealed.



Facebook is not the only social media platform that is trying to venture into news field, as recently Twitter has launched Moments feature that shows curated news posts. This Notify app from Facebook is another big step taken by the company to establish even stronger online presence.
