This Donate option has made it more feasible for the public to donate for those who are in need of it with just one click. People from now on doesn’t require to move from their couch to donate or to wander from one organization to the other. Facebook has made it easier for the people who wish to donate for the cause who are in need of it.

Facebook created this Donate button for the Non-Profit Organizations to use this button on their Facebook Pages and link ads. Though Facebook have already launched this donate button in the year 2013 but it was limited to only few Non-Profit Organizations along with UNICEF, Red Cross and DonorsChoose org.

A Facebook Spokesman said “Every day, people use Facebook to raise awareness and support for causes they care about and to motivate others to do the same, and we’re inspired by how much good comes from these connections, so we’ve added a ‘Donate Now’ call-to-action on Pages and link ads to make those connections easier than ever.”

As you click on the ‘Donate Now’ button, a disclaimer appears which shows the amount option and allows you to select the preferable amount, as you can see from the above picture.

In comparison with the other Call-to-action Buttons launched last year like “Shop Now” and “Book Now”, along with the “Donate” button allowed users to cite outside the social network. Previously introduced Donate button restricted the users to donate inside Facebook and the payment information was stored inside for future purchases.

Though, it’s a boon for the non-profit organizations which run on these charitable contributions, the motive of Facebook is still blurred. It’s highly possible for some users to ignore this new option, who are hesitant to share their credit card or PayPal account information on social media.

But the good thing is that the Non-Profit Organization is getting beneficial out of this new option due to the ease access for more than a billion crowd.
