The Social network giant Facebook acquired the online video advertising firm “LiveRail“. With this acquisition Facebook has increased its business. The LiveRail’s technology is automatically paired with the video ads and the videos which appear on many websites, such as the sites for Major League Baseball, ABC and A&E Networks. The Facebook does not disclose the amount that they have to pay in this deal. The LiveRail is founded in the year 2007 and it has an office in several countries.
In this year month of March the social networking giant Facebook began offering 15-second video ads from a limited number of companies on its website. They are introducing the video ads on its social network to prevent a backlash from users who might find the ads annoying.
On this deal the Facebook Vice President of Ads Product Marketing, Brian Boland, said in a blog post – ” We believe that LiveRail, Facebook and the premium publishers it serves have an opportunity to make video ads better and more relevant for the hundreds of millions of people who watch digital video every month.”
The Video ads offered higher prices rather than other forms of online advertising such as banner ads. The Facebook and other Internet rivals such as Google Inc are trying to grab the TV-marketing budgets as they try to sustain rapid growth.
