On This Day tool of Facebook is a very god feature that lets you enjoy some old memory, which has been slipped from you. This tools shows you some posts and photos from past to entertain you. But this feature doesn’t always show good memory, as the people have complained many times that its shows some painful memories like images of some dead relatives and friends without even given any kind of warnings.

Facebook has now added some filters to “On This Day” tool that will stop this tool from showing bad and painful incidents. This new filters let users filter certain dates, a time period and person, they don’t want to be reminded of.

The social media giant said in a statement, “We know that people share a range of meaningful moments on Facebook, as a result, everyone has various kinds of memories that can be surfaced — good, bad, and everything in between. So for the millions of people who use ‘On This Day,’ we’ve added these filters to give them more control over the memories they see.”

If you have not used this “On This Day feature” of Facebook that was launched back in March, let me tell you, this tool shows status updates, posts and photos from friends and some other things shared or tagged in on any particular day on your news feed. In the past, Facebook has been accused of digging our past and showing some painful memories. So the company has added filters that will allow this tool to avoid displaying painful and unwanted memory on anyone’s news feed.
