Two-step verification is the most popular and widely used the security feature which is mainly used by the popular email service providers and the social networking site such as Google, Facebook, Twitter etc,. Two step verification offers extra layer to your account security and it ask you to enter the security code which sent to your registered mobile number whenever you want to lo gin to your account. So if anybody knows your email ID and password, he cannot log in to your account until he enters the correct security code.
Google and some other social networking sites are already providing this feature and now its Microsoft’s turn to offer the 2-step verification feature to its users. Below I have explained how to enable the 2-step verification feature in the Microsoft account.
How to enable 2-step verification in Microsoft account
- First you need to go to the Microsoft log in page and there you need to enter your log in credentials.
- Now here click on Edit security info link at the bottom of the page.
- Now click on Set up two step verification link present on the page and follow the instructions.
- That’s it you are done, whenever you try to sign in to your Microsoft account, you need to enter the extra security code.
