Einsite, the Hyderabad based IoT (Internet-of-things) startup which designs state of the art solutions for the clients in construction and mining industries, has just closed in the seed round. The financials of the deal have not been disclosed yet. The sole investor in the round was KPCB Edge.
KPCB Edge is the partner arm of Kleiner Perkins Caulfield Byers, the VC firm based in Silicon Valley. KPCB Edge focuses on early stage investments. KPCB has earlier backed technology companies such as Amazon, Uber and Snapchat.
Founded by Anirudh Reddy and Rajiv Reddy, Einsite provides IoT enabled smart and viable solutions to construction and mining industries. According to Anirudh, the IoT space is very fragmented and often requires customized solutions for every single problem. With the latest product, EinSite is planning to solve that with the help of a bridge to prevent the data lose across locations and help the industry become smarter.
The startup has already had its pilot with Gayathri Projects in Hyderabad. It is now in talks with a few more developers in the country and in middle east. Also, to scale things up at a better pace, Einsite is in talks with a few Angel Investors. The product is expected to be in market by early 2017.
