EdTechReview, Delhi based education technology media community, has raised an undisclosed amount in pre series A round of funding from EVC Ventures. The round was led by Anjli Jain of EVC Ventures.
EdTechReview, founded in 2012 by Shantanu Rana, Divya Prakash, Utkarsh Lokesh and Saransh Garg is a community for people connected to the education to connect and collaborate to discuss about the ways technology can help make education better. The approach includes both, online and offline methods.
At present, the startup is serving to over 60,000 subscribers across the globe. Along with that, it also boasts of working with over 1000 K12 and higher education institutions and over 100 educational startups. Over the years, it has established itself into a credible way of giving knowledge, news and resources to the people from across the globe. Currently, it gets an average of 200,000 visitors every month.
Speaking on the development, Utkarsh Lokesh, CEO EdTechReview said that the main aim of the startup is to bridge the gap between two set of stakeholders in the education segment. One of them being the edtech startups who are trying to understand the education system and the other one being the educators, who are looking to implement technology in order to provide something better to their students.
With the raised funding, it is planning to expand to more Indian cities and at the same time, the startup is looking to increase its international presence and supposedly working with edtech startups and investors from countries like Australia, Singapore and United States who are looking to enter the Indian market.
