The company consists of people passionate about food, wine and all good things in life. As a team of chefs and hotel operation people have worked in some of the finest hotels and restaurants around the world. The company always seeks out new dining experiences and exciting cuisines.

The company is founded by well known celebrity Vir Sanghvi. He is best known Indian journalist of his generation. He was born in 1956 and educated in Mayo College in Ajmer and Mill Hill School, London. At the age of 22 he became editor of Bombay magazine that made him the youngest editor in the history of Indian journalism.

Vir Sanghvi has donned several hats in media by like editor of leading news papers, advisory role to media houses, TV Host too. He has authored and published books like Men of Steel, Rude Food, and a biography on Madhavrao Scindia and India –Then and Now.

He has won many awards in his career that includes Rajiv Gandhi Award, the Lokmanya Tilak Award, and The Cointreau Award for Best Food Literature Book in the world. In 1993, he was declared A Global Leader of Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum at Davos.

Vir Sanghvi has been member of many professional, academic and government agencies such as National Integration Council. He is a member of the Broadcast Content Complaint Council.

The company received seed funding of an undisclosed amount from Gulpreet Kohli – Former Managing Director of ChrysCapital, DSG Consumer Partners Managing Director Deepak Shahdadpuri and others.


EazyDiner has launched its services in Android environment and soon it will be launched in iOS too. The services are operational in the Delhi NCR Region with over 8,000 restaurant listings with menus and have 300+ restaurants for online reservations. They are planning to expand in Mumbai in July with listing of 7,500 restaurants with 500 partner restaurants for online reservations and exclusive deals.

EazyDiner has ambitious plans to expanding into major cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai by end of this year. The company earns revenue through reservation fee to the restaurant where the diner goes and restaurant advertisements on the website.

Many startups offer similar services in this segment that are witnessing in this space. GourmetitUp, Wow Table raised $300,000 in funding recently. DineOut was acquired by Times Internet Ltd and Zomato the mammoth in the segment will directly compete with it with EazyDiner.
