Dropbox for Android updated with document previews and advanced search

Dropbox is the most popular free hosting service which allows you to access all your photos, videos and documents anywhere. After installing the Dropbox on your Android device any file that you have saved on to your Dropbox account will automatically saved to all your computer, website and other device where your Dropbox account is logged in. With the Dropbox Android app you can take everything which matters to you on the go.


Today Dropbox Android box has been updated and added the document previews and along with advanced searching. With the latest update Word documents, Power Point presentations and PDF files can be viewed directly on your Android device, rather than going to other third party app.

In addition to the document previews option search has also been improved. Before you need to search entire Dropbox for a file, but now you can also search individual folders. Dropbox also now tracks your recent searches and prediction option is included. So now it try to predicts what you are searching for as you are typing. Dropbox will now highlight the filenames which matches your search criteria.

The latest update also let you to set view only permissions on shared folders which is previously available to only Dropbox for business users as an early beta.
