Driver’s to adjust the smart seat by hand gestures

Whenever you are on a long drive or just driving, adjusting seats have been a concern as ever time you have to adjust your seat, you have to do it manually. This really feels annoying, but now don’t worry folks, because researchers from Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISC have the solution of it.

Researchers from Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISC in association with Isringhausen GmbH & Co. KG have developed a prototype. This prototype will allow the user to adjust the seat by just using hand gestures. This prototype will be introduced at IAA in Frankfurt next month. This prototype comes with a collection of sensors and synthetic covers, reports Engadget.

For using the hand gestures, one just has to activate the sensors by pressing a point on the seat cover. Then the driver will use the hand gestures to adjust the seat. You can move the seat forward and backward using the hand gestures. The driver can also set the inclination to up and down, even at a specific position. This will also save the particular person’s settings and you can access it any time in the future.

This new tech will certainly be helpful for the person, who uses their car for long time and spend lots of time on driving seat. For more details visit official press release.
