As mentioned earlier Apple has now started rolling out the latest Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite for free to users who are running OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and 10.9 Mavericks. Before going through the download link make sure you have everything you need to backup the existing OS and install the latest one. To backup your data, you’ll need an external hard drive or a Time Capsule with at least the same amount of storage as your hard drive.
