CornerJob, the location based Jobs Marketplace focused on blue-collar recruitment has raised $10 Million in Series A funding. The investment round saw the participation from Antai Business Angels, Cube Investments, Ithaca Investments, Ad4Ventures, Banc Sabadell Capital,  Samaipata Ventures, La Caixa Capital, Bonsai Venture Capital,  and media Digital ventures.

CornerJob was launched in Italy in 2015 September to focus on the blue-collar market which requires lesser skills. The startup promises to get you a job in less than 24 hours. After the launch, it has expanded to Frane, Spain and Maxico, however, majority of its traction is still from the first 2 countries. Currently, the app gets roughly 50,000 downloads per month along with 4000 new job offers posted every week.

CornerJob aims to link businesses with the potential employees quickly with the help of its lightweight mobile app. The app takes handful of candidates for all the job offers and pre selected candidates are then prompted to talk to the employers within the app. Both parties can then talk about various things including the interview. The app also allows the employer and the candidate to be anonymous. The startup is more focused on large employers with huge requirements and at the same time, it’s also in process of signing up the agencies with the candidate database.

The company plans to expand more with the raised funds along with spending on marketing and building a brand.
