Online furniture rental portal, CityFurnish gets funds from Jitendra Gupta

Gurgaon based On-demand furniture rental startup, CityFurnish has received unspecified sum in seed round of funding from co-founder of Citrus Pay, Jitendra Gupta. The startup will use the freshly raised fund for strengthening its team and improving its back-end technology. It will also use the fund for its product management and order execution.



CityFurnish is a platform for furniture and furnishing rental, the startup was launched by Neerav Jain in late September this year. The company offers furniture and appliances on rent. In addition to keeping inventory of its own, the startup has also partnered with third party providers.

Currently, the startup provides its service in Gurgaon and Delhi NCR region. As of now, it has furnished 175 properties and is aiming to furnish 200 more by the end January 2016. The company is also planning to expand its business to some other cities like Bangalore.



CityFurnish is currently offering a very good deal for early stage startups. It offers 3 months free furniture for offices, if you subscribe for its 12 months plan. CityFurnish is not the only startup in this sector, some other players in this sector are RentoMojo and Furlenco. RentoMojo had raised $1.96 Million from Accel Partners India and IDG Ventures India. The other player in this sector, Furlenco had also raised $6 Million in Series A round of funding from LightBox Venture Capital and others.
